CaptAlRice's Website

Welcome to my flying page. Captain and I fly model RC planes and full scale planes like a Cessna 172 and a Piper J-3 Cub. It's fun!

Delmar Benjamin's Gee Bee R-2 flying at Oshkosh.

3/1/08- Today I did the maiden flight of my Hangar 9 Sundowner. It's really fast and cool! Here is a video of the flight.

Here's a cool video of an RC twin turbine F-14 Tomcat.

Here's a video of aviation's best and worst flights.

November 19, 2006- Captain and I went flying our Pitts Challenger and Pitts Model 12 biplanes.

That's me, Captain, and Raul Jr. out flying my P-51 Mustang on July 28, 2006. It was pretty windy with a strong crosswind that day but it turned out to be no problem.

That's Gigi and me after I soloed my RC airplane.

Captain and I are out flying my plane. It was a beautiful day to fly.

That's me and Gigi before we went up flying one day. It was freezing!

This is my radio control P-51 Mustang that I fly. It's fast!

Trip to Everglades City January 16, 2006
That's me at the controls of the Cessna 172 just before we took off from Lantana airport for Everglades City.
At Everglades City, their flight operation is on stilts 10 ft. off the ground to avoid being flooded during hurricanes.
I think this is an old 1947 Luscombe taildragger that was parked at Everglades City. I took this picture.
That's me and Captain with Florida Bay and the 10,000 Islands area behind us.
This is another picture that I took at Everglades City. Someone is fixing this Cessna.
That's Gigi and me just before we took off to fly back to Lantana.
I took this picture of Gigi and Captain just before we started up the plane to fly back to Lantana.
This chart shows the route that we flew down to Everglades City. When you click on it, you will see the north and south halves of the route.
Building My Christmas Ultra Stik
That's me and Captain working on the Ultra Stik RC airplane that I got for Christmas. We already glued the wing halves together and I drilled and screwed in the servos.
Captain is showing me how to drill and tap the motor mounts for the engine mount bolts. He did one first and then I did the other 3.
We are putting a Thunder Tiger 91 four stroke engine on it so that I will have lots of power. I like to go fast on my bike and in the air.
